    3. My GGUncle Amon Barnes was married to Virginia Poucher in March of 1860 and Augus McCAuley was a Witness as clerk of the Court of Suwannee Counry at that time. You probably allready knew this....right. Dale and Sherri Douglas wrote: > The only thing I have on Angus McCauly is copy of Albert Peterson's estate > appraisal. 3. Bette, There is a spring in Suwannee Co. called Telford Spring, in the settlement of Luraville, just across from Lafayette Co. I don't know if that would be of any help to you, but I thought it interesting. My Grant family settled at a place that was called Grant Springs (O'Brien area), and there is also a WAlker Springs in Suwannee County. Peacock Slough is also in Suwannee County (Sullivans descended from Lydia Peacock). >From: "Bette Harrison" <bharrisn@home.com> >Reply-To: FLSUWANN-L@rootsweb.com >To: FLSUWANN-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [FLSUWANN] Jealous >Date: Sat, 1 Sep 2001 08:40:56 -0500 > >Sherri, > >I don't know where Taylor, FL is. 3. I have info on all these lines, tho not complete, and constantly changing. Littleberry PARKER, is connected back to Littleberry WALKER, tho I can't put my finger on that at this moment. Do any of you have anything further on Thomas WALKER, m. Elizabeth O'STEEN? I'm reasonably sure he is also a Littleberry descendant, but haven't found the confirmation, as yet. If'n we had kin in this-yar neck a' tha woods by 1900, we most likely gots connections ta each other! I'm constantly amazed to find connections between families I had no idea had any slight relationship.....and they shared gtgrandparents, or gtgtgrands, etc. For instance, I just did a little piece on Daniel Mills Lewis, whose daughter, Mary Frances, married John Henderson POLK, who is connected to my grandmother, Caroline BARR, as well as my grandad's first wife, Florida POLK (Grandad was John Cabell Breckinridge THOMAS). Had NO idea I had any connection to these life-long friends, the L.D. REVELS, Sr., family, in Lafayette. I am so glad to see this list really getting interested AND interesting! We've lost so much of the history of our area(the Suwannee River Valley) and, through these lists, we're beginning to put some of it back together........and ain't it FUN!! God bless, Carolyn ----- Original Message ----- From: <FLSUWANN-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: <FLSUWANN-D@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 31, 2001 11:49 PM Subject: FLSUWANN-D Digest V01 #51

    3. As if we haven't caused enough confusion with all the Littleberry Parkers, now along comes Littleberry Walker. The father of the first wife of William Hall Parker, Sr. was Nancy Walker, daughter of a Littleberry Walker. My grandfather's brother, Flavious Josephus Jeffcoat (no comments, please) married Ella Walker in Jefferson Co. in 1899 she was the only child of Joel (or James) Walker and Emma Rhoades. It is my understanding this Joel/James had a brother Littleberry. The person who wrote the book about my Carter family was also descended from a Littleberry Walker. Leslie

    3. I think a Suwannee reunion is a fine idea! I love it. What do we need to do to make it happen? Here's a little more info on my lines: My grandmother was Bertha Clifford Hurst, b Mar 1898 Live Oak. Her parents were Charles Perry Hurst, b 1875 Live Oak and Missouri McClellan, b Feb 1880 Live Oak. Charles Perry's parents were Macon Richard Hurst and Mary Adaline Stanford. Missouri's parents were Joshua S. McClellan and Lizzie Goodson. Macon Richard Hurst's father was Enoch Wiley Hurst, who was born in Live Oak in 1810 and was apparently a bugler in the Seminole Indian Wars. Have a great Labor Day weekend ya'll. Dinah

    3. It's a ways. Midway is about 8 miles south of Madison just off Highway 53. If you go east from there to Highway 255 and turn north, any one of a number of roads would take you to the River Road which roughly parallels the river. I would guess Midway is about 10 miles from the river.
