Hello everyone, My name is Sylvia Wilcox. I live just south of Sydney, Aust. I had a great-auntie Florence WILCOCK (maiden name) who we believe lived in Florida for most of her life. My father said that he thought she lived in Palm Beach, and we have a photograph of her sitting in a deck chair. On the photo was written 'on the roof, in Pasadena'. There are also three young people in photos with names written in the same handwriting 'Lester' 'Herbert' and 'Eunice'. There is also a photo of her sitting under a palm tree in 1935. Florence was born in Chorley, Lancashire, England on 9/03/82. Her middle name was Guilda. She appears as a witness at my grandfather's(her brother's) wedding in New Bedford, Ma., in 1906, and her name is still shown as Florence WILCOCK. And then we lose track of her. I have spent a great deal of time looking for her marriage in England, and can find nothing at all. I'm still a little at a loss as to how to go about searching for people in the US. And I'm afraid that I am not too hot at US geography. I knew that Pasadena was in California, and I thought that there also was a Palm Beach in California, so I have been pestering some wonderful people on that list. Until a very nice lady told me that Palm Beach is in Florida, and that there also is a little town called Pasadena in Florida. So here I am. Is there a Death index for Florida that SKS could look Florence WILCOCK by her maiden name? Would that give me her married name?
