Emory was buried in a family plot in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama. His wife, Naomi Webb Tisdale, was expecting their first child, a girl, at the time. The child would have been born in late 1952 or early 1953. Her father's family only saw her once when she was a very small girl and then lost touch over the years. It is assumed that Naomi remarried and probably remained in South Florida. The girl's first name is not yet known at this time or if she kept Tisdale as her last name. I know this is a real longshot, but does anyone have any knowledge of this family or this girl?

She and her entire family lived by hanging on to the tops of trees to keep from being swept away by the flood. Quite an interesting story. Debbie

Chris, the much-touted 1930 is not readily available to everyone yet. The closest library to WPB that has it is in Atlanta, a 12 hour drive from here. However, send me the addresses you have.
