Have death certificate for Henry Hooper. Full name, as suspected, was Henry Deberniere Hooper [Junior] and he died on 24 January 1958 in West Palm Beach. In his seventies when he died, Hooper was a former court reporter. This man came from a notable family: his great-great-great grandfather was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and his great-grandfather was one of the early professors at the University of North Carolina. The specific obituary info I seek is any data identifying sons or brothers of this Henry Deberniere Hooper.

Is anyone planning to visit the Jeanie Johnston while it is at Peanut Island? My ancestors came over on a very similar ship and I would love to have some photos. If anyone plans to visit and has a digital camera perhaps you would send a copy? I consider driving down from Deltona but it is a 400 mile round trip. Kind of excessive for a day trip. Thank you for any help. Jerry Hale Deltona, FL ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Surnames: Gibbs Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oZ.2ADI/300 Message Board Post: I'm trying to connect to a 2nd cousin, John Herman "Jack" GIBBS, born May 1940 in Clark Co, OH - thought to still be alive, but not heard from anyone in the 2nd tier family since 1978. He was last known living in the Fort Meyers, FL area in the late 1970s, but is believed to have come from Springfield, Ohio with his Father, Paul Bransford GIBBS & Grandfather, Ralph L. GIBBS to West Palm Beach about 1945. I am working with Jack's 1st cousin from West Viginia, trying to locate him partly hoping he'll have some genealogy information about his Great-Grandparents, George GIBBS of England and Mary LOGAN of Franklin Co, Indiana. I believe Jack probably went to a high school in the Palm Beach County area about 1954-59... I'd like to find out where he went to High School in hopes it will increase contacts and thus connecting ultimately to Jack. If anyone knows of this man, I'd appreciate contacting me via Email or passing my message to he or someone else who may be in closer touch w! ith him. All responses appreciated. - Thanks very much, Allan Griffith, Bloomington, IL - preferred Email= magrif@gte.net

Seeking info on George Crockett WILBOURNE, b. Jan. 24, 1903, in Baltimore, MD, to George Henry and Inez Davis Crockett Wilbourne. Died in Lake Worth in Oct. 1980. He had at least 2 brothers, Edward Davis Wilbourne and Henry Mapp Wilbourne. I believe their mother, Inez Davis Crockett Wilbourne was a daughter of Jackson and Samantha Crockett, or at least a close relative. I will share all my info. Thanks! Hi! I just have a quick question. Which newspaper should I check for an obit in Lake Worth, in Oct. 1980? I will get it on interlibrary loan, since I don't have the exact date, but need to know which paper would be the most likely to have it. But, just in case, the name is George Crockett Wilbourne, born Jan. 24, 1903 in MD to George and Inez Davis Wilbourne. Thanks! Mona in WI Seeking Davies/Davis/Rees/Reese in So.
