    3. Shelley, have you also posted this to the appropriate surname and place name message boards at Ancestry https://www.ancestry.com/boards/? And, are any of the surviving family members on Facebook? Or, have you checked for place name genealogy groups on Facebook? For example, I see there is a group called Minnesota Genealogy. The group has 1,400 members - a good way to get more attention to your query. Regards, Bonnie Bonnie Dunphy Kohler Family History Researcher Member, Association of Professional Genealogists Volunteer, Genealogical Society of Palm Beach County Library -----Original Message----- From: Shelley Cardiel [mailto:cardiels@comcast.net] Sent: Monday, June 24, 2019 11:42 PM To: FLPALMBE@rootsweb.com Subject: [FLPALMBE] DODGE Family Photograph I've "rescued" an old photograph of Mr. & Mrs. Elmer DODGE and their family which was taken at the Slate Studio in Stewartville, MN sometime in the early 1900's. Pictured are the couple with 4 children, the oldest a daughter and then three boys. The youngest appears to be about 5-6 years old and the oldest in her teens or 20's. I believe that this is the family of Elmer and Clara DODGE with their children Mabel, Arthur, Earl, and Clarence. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding this family: Elmer James DODGE was b. 7 Jun 1863 in Fort Atkinson, WI to parents Arthur Toppin DODGE (1840-1914) and Amelia C. or P. ROBERTS (1843-1925). Elmer was one of 8 children born to this couple including, Elmer James; Martha Maria "Mary"; Lucius Arthur; Ada W.; Myra E.; Carrie or Cassie Winifred; Walter R.; and Paul Byron DODGE all born between 1860 and 1882. Elmer married Clara M. MAHLUM (1870-1939) and together they had four children including, Mabel Mattie; Arthur William; Earl Albert; and Clarence Elmer DODGE, all born between 1889 and 1903. Elmer died Oct 1945 in Palm Beach, FL and is buried in the Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, TX. His wife Clara was b. Feb 1870 in Clear Lake, IA to parents William MAHLUM (1841-1932) and Agnethe LARSDATTER (1837-1910). Clara was one of 5 children born to this couple including Clara M.; George B.; Alma M.; Albert; and Henry Walter MAHLUM all born between 1870 and 1880. Clara died 10 Dec 1938 in Hidalgo, TX and is buried in the same cemetery with her husband. Their daughter Mabel M. DODGE married Earl E. GARVIN (1888-1963 and she died 4 Nov 1985 and is buried in the Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, TX. Their son Arthur William DODGE was b. 25 Apr 1892 in Spring Valley, MN and married twice, first marriage was to Frances Laura COTTERMAN (1900-1936) who he married in 1922 and with who he had a daughter, Eleanor Frances DODGE (1924-1996). His second marriage was to Nelle C. WESTON (1887-1977) who he married in 1943. Arthur died 26 Nov 1977 in Pleasant Hill, CA and is buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston, MT. Their son Earl Albert DODGE was born in 1896 and married Mildred Alene R? (1898-1961). Earl died 22 May 1960 in Newport News, VA and is buried in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in that city. The couple's youngest child, a son Clarence Elmer DODGE was b. 1902 and married Georgia Dodge EDWARDS CLAYTON (1913-2008) and together they had a daughter, Betty DODGE (1929-1983). Clarence was a pastor at the Southern Presbyterian Church at Amarillo, TX starting in 1949 and died in Amarillo, TX on 23 Mar 1959 and is buried in the Llano Cemetery in Amarillo as well. 3. Hi Vince. You can find Anna Belle's surname at the time of her marriage to Roy by searching at FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org). Search for Anna Belle with no last name, in Broward County, Florida, marriage year 1952, and note the certificate number. Search again for Roy L. Richardson, marriage year 1952, in Broward County, Florida, and see that the certificate number is the same. The couple's application for a marriage license was published in the Fort Lauderdale News on 8 February 1952, page 3B. There is a small amount of biographical information in the brief listing. There is some biographical information about Roy in his 29 August 1962 obituary published in the Fort Lauderdale news, p. 14-A, col. 8. See if a Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood library will copy the articles for you. The articles can be viewed at the subscription website Newspapers.com Publisher Extra at https://www.newspapers.com/. Perhaps you could get a free trial or subscribe for a short term. The marriage record would show Jean's maiden name. If you mean the couple met and married in Maryland, there are indexes to Maryland marriages here http://guide.mdsa.net/series.cfm?action=viewSeries&ID=SM225. The index should show Jean's maiden name; however, it's always a good idea to view the actual record. Looking at the record image, the judge signed the Final Judgement of Dissolution of Marriage on 20 June 1977. The Filed date stamp says 22 June, and a second stamp says 23 June. I'm inclined to think the date of the divorce was 20 June. The record includes an address for Jean in June 1977.
