According to cemetery records my GGgrandfather, Nimrod Floyd was born 15 DEC 1806 and died 25 AUG 1856 & is buried in Meigs County, Tennessee. I believe (based on census records) he was born in Tennessee & a Nimrod F. is in the Campbell County census in 1830 with a wife & small son. The next record I've found is his marriage to Mahala Keller, my GGgrandmother Floyd, 9 Jul 1837 in Rhea County, Tennessee. They are listed in the 1840 & 1850 McMinn County census & in 1858 after Nimrod's death Mahala moved with their 10 children to Dent County, MO. with the Andrew Emory family. If anyone has any connection or can give me any direction to go with this I would appreciate it very much. I have not been able to find Nimrod's first family (if it is the same person) or any siblings or parents for him.
