Hello everyone! I'm new to this mailing list.. I'm researching my lineage in Amherst co. Virginia. I have found my g-g-grandfather to be Benjamin Floyd and he married Judith Gilbert. Benjamin was born on May 4, 1852 to Sam Floyd and Eliza Hartless. 1850 Census of Amherst lists Samuel age 80 Eliza age 34 Samuel Jr. 14 Julia A. 9 John 7 Andrew 5 Cochilla (or Johanna) 4 and of course Benjamin wasn't included in the 1850 Census I am trying to find out anything about Samuel and Eliza. I am currently putting everything I have on the computer and would gladly send a GEDCOM file.
