So, he left, changed his nameto James "Bo" Floyd and went back and said he was a year older to getinto college. Since he received his teaching degree, he kept the nameJames "Bo" Floyd for the remainder of his life and was buried under thatname. Bo Floyd was very much a horseman. He was the first successful breederof Tennessee Walking Horses and Shetland Ponies (late named a breed oftheir own). He also wrote many articles for Quarter Horse Magazine.
