If you have no details other than “Kissimmee area”, keep in mind the location may have been in another nearby county, such as Polk or Orange. You could try looking for a deed at the courthouse. There are no city directories that go back that far. I am not finding him in census search for Osceola County. Hello George, Do you have any idea how long Albert was in the Kissimmee area. I believe the earliest city directory is the 1921 directory. Have you checked the 1910 census. If you do find an address you can go to the courthouse to find information about his land ownership. The Orlando Sentinel published an obituary on Sept. 16, 2008 in Section C page 5 for John Austin. The local newspaper is the News-Gazette & there hasn't been one appear in that paper yet. They are sometimes a week or so later in publishing obits. If you should have a problem locating the obit in the Orlando Sentinel, please contact me. I have a copy that I can send you. Jean, Thanks for your offer to help. I'm happy to report that I now have the obit and finally my Aunt Dorothy has been "found". I thought the town/city would be needed to know which newspaper to ask for a look up in, but the library was able to help when I emailed with my death index question!! thanks again, you can cross me off your list!!Patti _________________________________________________________________ Get thousands of games on your PC, your mobile phone, and the web with Windows®. http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/108588800/direct/01/
There is not a death index for Osceola County but I am sure that the obit would give the town. I will not be able to check the newspaper for a couple of weeks.
