I am looking for information on William H. Creel. William was born abt. 1853 according to census reports and he was born in Fl. (however I have seen census where the state of birth is given as Ga.). In 1860 & 1870 William H. Creel was living in the household of his mother Piety Creel in Berrien Co., Ga. William married in Ga. and eventually moved to Fl. I think the move was probably made around 1890 because in 1889 when his daughter Samantha Jane Creel was born he was living in Ga. In 1900, William H. Creel and his family was living in Polk Co., Fl. He died sometime after 1931 in Eagle Lake, Fl. As a little girl I remember going to Eagle Lake to look for his grave as well as the grave of his wife Mary Jane Candance Fletcher Creel. We could not find the graves so I assume they were never marked. I don't know the name of the cemetery, I can barely remember looking for the graves. One of William H. Creel's daughters, Florence Creel married a Wiggins from Lakeland, Fl. My ggrandmother Samantha Jane Creel married David Curry from Berrien Co., Ga. and returned to Ga. to live out her life. William also had a daughter named Missouri and I know he had a son named Johnny Creel and another named Cleve Creel. I remember seeing Johnny Creel and Cleve Creel one time as a young girl. Missouri, & Florence were older than Samantha but Johnny & Cleve were younger. As far as I know other than Samantha the others remained in Fl. From the 1860 & 1870 Ga. census I know William H. Creel had older brothers named John W. Creel and Levi (or could be Lewis) Creel. William also had two sisters one named Lucinda Creel and the other named Bethany Creel. Bethany was born around 1855 in Ga. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. I have very little except the information on my immediate family. Rhonda
