I know this is research that I can do myself, but I'm excited about a new insight and it will be several days before I can get to a library. So I'm soliciting the assistance of the good folks on this list. On July 25, 1849 in the Itchepuckesassa/Alafia area, a Volunteer Militia Company was organized by Simeon L. Sparkman. Does anyone know how long this company remained in existence and roughly in what areas they served? The stepfather of my wife's grandfather served in this outfit.
