I now know St. Andrew's Bay is in/near/a part of Panama City in present-day Bay County, but in 1880, would have been a part of another county. Now for another question. My mystery relative was referred to as a "St. Andrew's Bay, FL Promoter" in 1886. In 1856, this man was a cotton gin maker in Alabama. ------>Q. What would he be possibly promoting in 1886 in FL? St. Andrew's Bay itself? Cotton gins? Something else?<------------- He is listed as "Dr. Joseph Cornelius DuBois;" we don't know what he was a doctor of, but one brother was an M.D., another a dentist.
