Thanks to all who responded. The first reference to Camp Lee in Florida was in the Volumes entitled: Biographical Rosters Of Florida Confederate and Union Soldiers, 1861-1865, Vol. 2 p. 736. A Google search listeds about 10 sites with Camp Lee, Florida but none indicate where it was located. There were other Camp Lee's mentioned in other states, but I am trying to learn why a young man from Cape Canaveral would report to Marion or Alachua County.
