    3. You can go to your local library and ask for a Photocopy ILL. Most Genealogical librarians cannot look up obits in the larger libraries. Ours in Tampa does not. Put in the name of the local paper and put in date of death. Ask for an Obituary/Death notice for 5 days after date of death. Don't be surprised if there is just a small funeral notice, most families just get put in the paper what the paper offers for free. Cost will be $2.50 (here in Tampa) to $10 (WV). Some libraries especially the College ones will put a large cost on them to discourage the ILL. But if you need, you need it.
