    3. Lynda, The bad news: there appear to be no Wightman probate proceedings in St. Johns County. Has anyone checked Duval, since Timothy came here from there, apparently? The other news: I have a deed from one C.F. Hopkins, Jr, and his wife, I.B. Hopkins, selling five lots in block K of "St. Johns City" according to a "map or plat ... filed in clerk's office of St. Johns County," to "F.V. Wightman of Duval County." Date is 11 Nov 1889. I have never heard of St. Johns City, but I suspect this is a connection to Timothy's progeny in some way. Want it? I suspect that the plat should still exist, and probably somebody in the St. Augustine Public Library or the S.A. Historical Society--or even the clerk's office--will know where the land is and whether there was a change in name or whether the plan went bust in some way. There should be another deed at some time later when they sold the land. I'd query the locals on these matters were I you--and if I were interested.... Did the other stuff arrive safely? Regards.... --Brian Michaels
