Shirley, I too had to a similar need and contacted the Lee County Courthouse Clerk at (941) 335-2283. My gggrandfather was murdered in Key West in 1891 and the accused were put up for trial in Fort Myers in 1895. I was able to get a copy of the Court Clerk's notes from the trial.
