Dee, The older records of the Florida State Hospital at Chattahoochee are at the Florida State Archives, and the records older than fifty years--including medical summaries and patient account books--are open to research. They're nasty and falling apart, but I had my hands on them less than a month ago. There may/should be a commitment record in the county of residence, and there may be a copy in the FSH files at the FSA. Good luck! --Brian Michaels ************************************************************************ dolob@juno.com wrote: > > Hello List > > I have recieved my great grandfather's death certificate from the state > and it says he died at the Fla State Hospital eight days after being > admitted, on November 30, 1932.
