Once again I will ask for any information on my Great -grandfather Silas Beckham Adkins who was born in South Carolina and came to Alachua County about 1850. His wife was Caroline Rebecca Templeton and they had their family in Hawthorne, Alachua County, Florida --area. My Grandfather William Beckham Adkins was born in Hawthorne and died there in 1952. Silas Beckham Adkins does not appear on the 1890 census but his widow Caroline does. I can find no trace of his death date or burial place but feel sure that he was in the Gainesville--Hawthorne area when he died.
