Every military record I have seen of Florida militia units raised in the 2d Seminole War has the EF, MF designations (if WF was used I haven't noticed it), and the Federal Court in Tallahassee is still known as that of Middle Florida to this day ( http://www.flmd.uscourts.gov/ ). These designations have certainly continued in use...
