Pelka Naples, FL John C. Pelka, 92, of Naples, FL passed away peacefully on August 13, 2002 after a short stay at Lakeview Pavillion. He was the adored father of Trisha Pavy of Naples, Marci Pelka of Folsom, CA and John G. Pelka of San Francisco. Born in Garfield, NJ he was a federal employee for 30 years. He served in Europe during WW II in Belgium and France. "Curley" as his family called him, was a life member of the VFW, a member of American Legion Post No. 135 of Naples, a Charter member of the Paramus Elks Lodge No. 2001 in New Jersey, and a member of the Collier County Association of the Blind. He is survived by four grandchildren, Lisa Leamon of Naples, Amy Hadrick of Orangevale, CA, Beth Sturbaum of Sacramento, CA and Luka C. Pelka of San Francisco. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Jacob and Zachary. His many nieces and nephews will miss his cheerful smile.
