Please, let's not tie up the "airways" with numerous posts about this, but if you recieve an e-mail with this attachment, simply delete the attachment. The message may be read, but trash the attachment. It seems the genealogy community is being inundated with this thing. It is not a virus and will NOT trash your system. For more information: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/happy99.worm.html It DOES point out the importance of NEVER opening an executable attachment unless you know the source and the reason for the attachment. I have often gotten something from someone who does not know much about computers and saved the file off to my hard drive so I can scan it with an antivirus program before opening it. Sorry if this is deemed off-topic, but it IS going around. I, myself received it and inadverdantly passed it on to one person. No harm was done and both of us cleaned our systems Regards, Mary Ellen e-mail: mewexler@buffnet.net Co-host Okaloosa County FLGenWeb page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~flokaloo/Okaloosa.htm Edge mailing list: EDGE-L@rootsweb.com Harvey mailing list: HARVEY-L@rootsweb.com EDGE/HARVEY family page: http://www.buffnet.net/~mewexler/ Genealogy Help page: http://www.buffnet.net/~mewexler/help_pg.htm
