Mayflower Descendant to Address Genealogy Group The Pasco County Genealogical Society (PCGS) will have its monthly membership meeting beginning with coffee at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 13 at the Hugh Embry Public Library in downtown Dade City. This month Mrs. H. F. "Anita" Thompson will address the Society on her ancestor "William Bradford, First Governor of the Plymouth Colony." Mrs. Thompson is the Governor of the Edward Fuller Colony of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Lakeland. Mrs. Thompson will be providing information about the Society of Mayflower Descendants as well. Each local chapter of the Society of Mayflower Descendants is a Colony and there Colonies are twelve in Florida. LaVonne Moss, a PCGS member, will also discuss her research into her family's history. The Society meets the second Saturday of each month and the public is always welcome. The Kinseekers, volunteers from PCGS, are available at the library to help to introduce individuals to resources available for tracings a family tree Thursday mornings, 10:00 a.m. to noon.
