While doing so research at the Bancroft Library, at the University of California at Berkeley, I found these books; "Constitution and the by-laws of the New England Associated California Pioneers of '49 with list of members" one for 1892 and the other for 1895, in them they have a list of members, that give the following information: Name of member, place of residence (note most are in the New England area, with a couple in Florida), name of vessel(but if they came across by wagon train also listed), route taken, number of days to get to California, where they arrive, and month and year. If you would want me to check to see if a ancestors is listed let me know. Just a note if you do want me to check, I NEED TO KNOW BY MAY 21, 2005, as the Bancroft Library, will be closing as of June 1, till least I hope Oct. 1, 2005.
