Jeb Bush was born in Midland, Texas, 1953 and moved to Miami in 1980. They lived there until he became Governor in 1998. He had plenty of time to learn about Florida's history and obviously he did not learn it too well or he would realize how valuable it is to all of America. I am a Florida native, but have lived out of the state now for quite a few years. However, I have quite a lot of relatives still in the state, I visit often and try to follow things down there and have been quite appalled by the plans by your Governor to eliminate the library. What I want to know is how long has Jeb Bush been living in Florida. I know that he was born in Connecticut and apparently grew up in Texas (and Kennebunkport). He and his brothers seem to have divided up the various states so as not to compete with each other politically. I don't think he was ever in public office before. What did he do before he was governor (besides being a son of a President, that is) and how long was he in Florida? Obviously, the point of my question is that it is no wonder the guy cares not a wit about the heritage of my state. Paul M. Hendricks .
