I have an ancestor who married a Tom Phillips in either Homestead or Miami between November 1938 and January 1939. The marriage was between this Tom Phillips and a Lillian Macomber. Lillian had been previously married to a Philip Beard and before that she had been born a Greatorex. Originally from England, she was born in 1889 and came to the USA, I believe, just after World War One. Though this is not proven yet. The reason I give all possible surnames is I cannot be sure under what name she would have been married. Are the marriage records for this period available and easy to access, especially from overseas??
