Turn left onto Hwy 602 and go a ways till you get to Old Ebeneezer Road. Turn on Ebeneezer Road (right) and travel till you see cemetery sign on left. Many of Ron's relatives were pioneers of north Okaloosa County and are buried in this cemetery. Ron will be missed by his family, by his friends, by members of the GSOC and by many whose lives he only touched marginally. He helped to organize the Laurel Hill Centennial, coming up this weekend; he worked on the Heritage of Okaloosa County book project; he and his bride of 42 years, Carolyn Senterfitt, traveled to Washington County to help organize the Heritage Book for that county, also. Ron attended many family reunions and funerals in Northwest Florida, trying to get a feel for the people and the places, the families and the faces that are the salt of this good earth. He supported the mission of the Baker Block Museum, served as President and Vice-President of the Genealogical Society of Okaloosa County and assisted several of the members in locating their kin in the graveyards of the rural north county area. Ron also mentored beginning genealogists at the Crestview (Bob Sikes) library.
