    3. Dean! Just today I've discovered that there's a "Who's Who" of Florida history and genealogy out there silently observing the list: you, Pam Hall, Leslie Maddocks, and who knows who else? You can all blame Leslie for all of this stuff I've been posting. I'd never really thought about joining the Florida list, since I have no Florida ancestors before my father, but Leslie said I ought to hook on, and the rest, as we say, is [genealogy?]. To you listers who may not know Dean, let me recommend him to you as a very knowledgeable and helpful individual. If he were old enough, I'd call him the grand old man of West Florida history and genealogy. Unfortunately, he's younger than I am, so that won't work. But it's always good to hear from him or of him. When he speaks (often hilariously after dinner) the wise among us listen carefully. Allbest, --Brian ************************************************************ Dean DeBolt wrote: > > I'd like to remind the list that the Special Collections and West > Florida Archives department of the John C.
