Local Genealogists Report Findings The Pasco County Genealogical Society (PCGS) will have its monthly membership meeting beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13 at the Hugh Embry Public Library in downtown Dade City. This month's presentations will be all by Society members. Mrs. Anna Remington Stimson make a presentation on her "Genealogical Discoveries using the Poll Tax Records." Mrs. Penelope Lingen Turner will be making a seminar report on a workshop on John Phillip Colletta's book "They Came in Ships: A Guide to Finding Your Immigrant Ancestor's Ship." Mr. Patrick Reilly, a new member, will be discuss his family's "Irish Roots" in Ireland their links, discoveries, and renewed relationships which is in keeping with March's St. Patrick's Day festivities. As part of the business meeting Mr. Donald Merrill, PCGS Director, will give the Annual Report and Mrs. Patricia Roper Parrish will conduct an Awards Presentation on the progress of the PCGS members family record keeping. There will of course be some GREEN refreshments provided at this March Meeting. The Society meets the second Saturday of each month except in the Summer and the public is always invited and welcomed. The Kinseekers, volunteers from PCGS, are available at the library to help to introduce individuals to resources available for tracings a family tree Thursday mornings, 10:00 a.m. to noon.
