Looking for information and descendents of the James A. Thomas family of Polk Co. Fl. James Married Fannie Roberts abt. 1886, probably in Polk Co. Fl. since their first child was born in Polk Co. Fl in 1887. In the 1900 Polk Co. census they were living in precinct 12 two house down from her sister Lucinda Mimbs and family. This was in the west Lake Wales area as far as I can determine. James and Fannie were in the Arbuckle area in precinct 17 when the 1910 census was taken. He was a farmer. Their children were; John, Ethel, Jefferson, Belle, Clara, Joseph, Benjamin, and Robert. These were listed in the 1910 census. I think that the parents of James A. Thomas was James Thomas and Rhoda J. Cowart Thomas, who are buried in the Glover Cem near Auburndale. Any help will be greatly appreciated. There were five of the Roberts sisters and there are three of us 3rd cousins that meet and compare notes on family.
