Senator David Levy Yulee and Senator David Yulee Levy are one and the same person. Levy County is named after him. He was very politically involved in bringing Florida into the Confederate States of America and was an organizer of the railroad that was constructed running from Cedar Key to Jacksonville before the Civil War.
