Incorporated as a town in 1885, Plant City’s well-documented history includes three historic districts and five individual historic sites listed on the local and National Register of Historic Sites. Plant City in Vintage Postcards includes more than 150 postcards from the collection of The Quintilla Geer Bruton Archives Center of the East Hillsborough Historical Society. The Quintilla Geer Bruton Archives Center is the genealogy and family history library of The East Hillsborough Historical Society, a nonprofit organization formed in 1974. Located in the historic 1914 Plant City High School, the Society and its entities are dedicated to the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of Plant City and eastern Hillsborough County.
