Hi Everybody: In celebration of National Family History Month in October, I am pleased to announce that our library will have its first Genealogy for Night Owls. Have you always wanted to stay all night at the library and do research? Well, now is your chance -- you will be locked in the library for five hours. (Some of us did not think we could make it through the night.) Since we have over 60 computers on the 2nd floor, you will also have access to our paid web sites such as HeritageQuest Online and Ancestry Plus. In addition, we will be providing basic beginning and intermediate classes on Saturdays, Oct 5th and 12th from 10 am until 1 pm. These are free to the public. There is no need to register. Below is information excerpted from the registration form for the lock-in. If you would like to register, please email me privately and I will send the form to you via email or snail mail. Friday, 25 October 2002, 5:30 11:00 PM (Doors will be locked at 6 PM) For a $10.00 donation towards the purchase of library materials, the Indian River Genealogical Society in cooperation with the Indian River County Main Library invites you to spend 5 hours researching with the exclusive use of the genealogy reference department at the Library. Volunteers and library staff will be available to answer questions and help with the genealogy resources. There is a limit of 45 people. So hurry and sign up. Pam Pamela J.
