Oh..my goodness...just another way for the government to protect us. If I needed someone to protect my privacy I would not call on the county commissioners of Leon County or Dade County. They are just passing these "feel good" laws and the unlearned are all smiles. When all is said and done there will be just as much identity theft as always. When a person wants to steal my identity or your identity, he or she will not go to the county courthouse and apply for a building person issued by his neighbor..they are too sharp to go that route. It is the folks who toss aside credit card applications into the garbage or throw out their old bank statements will be the ones who will be their own undoings. If I want anyone's Social Security number, current address, or personal information, it is available in a number of places readily available to the general public. I always end with this statement "When will the government outlaw telephone books?" Alvie L.
