It may be because of Florida's new privacy laws. In Leon County, the Clerk of the Court has restricted access to just about everything & is giving people 60 days (which should be about half over) to send his office a request to remove certain information...including SS numbers, birth dates & marriage dates.As I understand it, individuals must request that their personal information be removed. In our business, I need copies of Notices of Commencement for new homes. Those are also Internet restricted although they can be obtained from the clerk's office for a fee.(Go figure.) This has put a big burden on the clerk's office.
