    1. Writing Family History; adding measures of fun, recipes, star charts?
    2. Ray Osborne
    3. Hi, As I am writing my article on this topic I want to research people who have added measures of fun to the Family History. I see some writers incorporate family recipes which seems like a delicious idea. Year after year at Thanksgiving Aunt Martha's recipe for stuffing get ritually baked. Anybody have a testimonies where recipes have been included? As a child of the Aquarian Age I wonder if anybody has done any star charts on their ancestors. Just for entertainment purposes of course. Or even have some ancestor's handwriting analyzed. Historically yours, Ray __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! 1. Newbie Intro: Writing Family Histories in Cocoa
    2. Ray Osborne
    3. Hi, I learned about this mail list from the Genealogy workshop at the Cocoa Library last Thursday. I have been asked by a publisher to write an article about Writing Family Histories. I would like to interview people who have written a book or a manuscript of a family history. If you would like to answer a few questions and don't mind seeing them in print send me email. I look forward to getting to know some people on this mail list. 3. Hi, I am emailing this mailing list to apologize for my overzealousness in conerns to doing my family tree....it was brought to my attention that I am asking for much and I want to apologize.....in my overzealousness I appear to be posting more than once or asking for more than usual.... I do not live in or around Florida, I live in NE PA and I ask for help because of that reason.....if I have offended anyone because I ask for help, then I apologize..... I love doing my family tree and I find everything about it so fascinating and I know at times I can be a pain 8-) and overzealous and alot more when I ask for help..... So I hope everyone accepts my apology and I do thank everyone for the help that they have given me....you all have been a great help and I appreciate everything that everyone has been able to help me with..... Thank you.... Stephanie Grohol

    1. Joshua and Catherine Hogan Lee/Hamilton and Columbia Co, FL
    2. Joe & Steph Grohol Jr
    3. Hi... I am looking for information on Joshua H. Lee (born abt 1839) and Catherine Hogan Lee (born abt 1844).... I am not sure when they died....but I do know from the census that they lived in Hamilton Co, FL....I can't find them in the 1900 census for Hamilton Co, FL...so I am assuming they died before 1900.... I was able to locate them in the 1870, and the 1880 Hamilton Co, FL Census, but not in 1900 or later....I am trying to find out when they died and where they are buried....I did ask some one who had the Cemeteries of Hamilton Co, FL to see if he had them in the book and he didn't find them....so maybe they are buried in Columbia Co, FL? I also know from the census of 1870 and 1880, that they had the following children: Joseph V., Porter or Peter, Charles (middle name might be Henry), Noah, Carrie, Archibald, Kassie Calhoun, and Essie....also lookign for whatever information there is on the children listed above.... Appreciate any help.....thank you.... Stephanie Grohol

    1. Franklin Clayton Poppell/FL/Discovered something of interest
    2. Joe & Steph Grohol Jr
    3. Hi... I am not sure if anyone on the Pinellas list knows this or if anyone is researching the Poppell family...but I discovered some information today while doing research...... I saw that in the 1920 and 1930 Pinellas Co, FL Census,. that a woman named Louise Poppell was listed as the daughter of Barnard Cone and that she was widowed and had a child named Franklin C....it is her daughter....so I went looking on ancestry...and saw the name of the man which was Franklyn or Franklin Clayton Poppell and there was not much info on him....so I checked the WWI Draft records and he was there listed under Frank Clayton Poppell....so I decided to check some WWI induction Cards for Florida and I was able to find him and his information....it said his DOB and at the bottom it told when he died.....I found that he died Jan 29, 1920, and the 1920 census that I found Louise was Feb 3, 1920...so she was a recent widow and if I am not mistaken pregnant when he died...... Just wanted to post this....because it helped me too.... Stephanie Grohol

    1. Charles Fisher
    2. Kathleen Riley
    3. Is there anyone out there that could do a search for me in the state health dept. I am looking for the death date of my grandfather, Charles W. Fisher. He was born in WVA in about 1885, lived and worked in Cincinnti and Cleveland, Ohio for sometime and after he and my grandmother divorced about 1916, he remarried a lady named Bella or Belle Mough(spelling?). I believe they had a daughter named Jeanne about 1919 and moved to FL after that. He worked for the sanitation dept in Hialeah, Dade Co, Fl. in 1933 but I can't find him in the census there or find his death certificate. The last time my Mom heard from him was about 1953. Don't know what happened after that. Any help would be so appreciated. I have been trying to solve this for a very long time.
