I am searching for information regarding the KENMAE Apartments that was located at Fourteenth Street, Alton Road and West Avenue, Miami Beach 39, Florida. I am in possession of a post card showing a picture of this complex and on the back it states: “Owned and operated by Wm. J. and Marietta Kennedy. Near shops and the beach. Pent houses, bedroom, efficiency, studio apartments and single rooms.” The Mrs. Kennedy listed above is an aunt to my husband and I would like to find out more regarding this apartment complex and/or any information anyone might be able to send me regarding Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy. Jeremy is from Deer Park, TX. He was killed on Railroad tracks near downtown Lakeland, Florida. He was a student at Texas A & M. There is no mention of murder. I suggest you call the Lakeland Florida police dept. to obtain further information.

His name was Jeremy Lake, 18 or 19 yrs old. He went to Fl. to work for the summer. From what we have heard he went drinking. As he left someone hit him over the head , robbed him and left him on the railroad tracks. Train came along and ran over him. This young man was attending A&M university , very intelligent and outgoing young man. His parents are down there now, but we cannot get a hold of them. They did call an neighbor and tell them that they are having a hard time getting enough money to bring his body back. This neighbor didn't ask any questions , like where they were? How can we get money to them? What phone number they were calling from? I did call the police and they are going to try and help track them down. We have people waiting to send them money for this but really don't know how to find them. If any of you in Florida have seen any news on this ( I know this is a long shot ) Please send to me. His girlfriend is in Alaska working and we have not been able to get in touch with her. we know what town she lives in. And I am sure she knows what town he was in. Thanks ellen k
