I have the index to ALL deaths in Florida from 1970-1998 and neither of these two people appear in the index. I know the SSDI says they died in FL but there is no death record in FL. I checked the Palm Beach County Web Page for the court records and there are four documents filed in Palm Beach County about these two folks and if you can spend $4 you will likely learn where they are buried. The one document is a copy of the death record of Minnie. In FL if a spouse dies it is important to file his/her death record in the county of legal residence in case there are things recorded in both parties names and that will prove to all that the deceased spouse is indeed deceased. Write to the Palm Beach Clerk of Circuit Court, 301 N. Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Ask the OFFICIAL RECORDS DEPT for a plain copy of these pages: Book 3576, Pages 776, 777, 778 (778 contains two pages), so the total cost will be $4 plus a stamped self addressed envelope. Good Luck. ===== Alvie L. One of the most knowledgeable individuals of Early Florida History passed away last Sunday. Mr. Bardin dedicated his life to the truthful pursuit of Early Florida History. His personal history could be traced to 1818 Florida, and one of the most proud moments of his life was when he was presented with his Florida Pioneer Certificate. His selfless dedication to preserving Florida history and heritage was a bright light of Clay County, and he gave many tireless hours of service at the Macclenney Family History Center; to the Clay County Historical Commission; and to any person asking his help. He was a friend to many. He will be greatly missed. THANKYOU to all the kind people who took the trouble to answer my request for help. Two of you were able to check for any Greatorex in the Census and came up with good information. Thankfully the name is fairly unique, so not many of them around. I will answer you all personnally. Thank you Drew for the locations of the cemeteries. Now that I know they are two different ones, does anyone know if there are any listings of burials to see which cemetery this husband and wife are buried in? New Zion Cem, Horse Creek, W. Hardee Co, FL and Ft Green Baptist Cem, Ft Green, Hardee Co, FL. They are two different cemeteries. New Zion Church, in the western part of Hardee County, is on Roberts Road, less than a mile north of highway 64, just east of where highway 64 crosses Horse Creek. This is close to the Manatee County border. Fort Green, in the northwestern part of Hardee County, is on Fort Green Road, about a mile north of highway 62. This is about 2 miles south of the Polk County border. The other end of Roberts Road runs into Fort Green. Regards, Drew Smith

Alvie Davidson from this list was kind enough to provide death dates, death cert. #, etc. on DICKSONs. Would he or someone else be kind enough to provide this information to me on a Mrs. M. M. BROWNE of Miami, FL. I only know she was alive in Miami, FL when her mother, Dora Elizabeth WILLIS, died Oct. 1933 and dead by Aug. 1976 when her sister, Dora Willis STOREY died. If I could get the death date and cert. number I could then write for a death cert. and an obit from the newspaper or library. Thank you for any help anyone can give me.
