    1. [FLORIDA] Moving a grave
    2. Maddocks
    3. Recently someone queried the list about information regarding their wishes to move a grave from one place to another. I don't have the answer regarding that but in 2000 the following person was able to answer some of my questions about abandoned cemeteries. I have no idea if this is still his e-mail address - but it's worth a shot. At the time he was the State Archeologist and Chief, Bureau of Archeological Research and seemed to know a lot of about the laws governing cemeteries [email protected] Leslie

    1. [FLORIDA] Laws Re: Moving a Headstone
    2. Hello Everyone, My g-g-grandfather died in 1867 and is buried out in a thick wooded area on private property owned by a large company in Florida near the FL/GA state lines. Myself and other family members want to move the headstone (and maybe the remains if there are any) to a cemetery in the general area that is maintained. I know there are laws regarding this and I need to know how to go about doing this. Can someone tell me who to contact regarding the legalities and proper manner in which to do this. Thanks! 1. [FLORIDA] Archivo de Mormones en Utah
    2. Hello all, Este mensage al final en Español: This is just an update on the article printed in "El Pais" the largest newspaper in Spain. First, I would like to thank all the people who visited the page in question, and specially to those that voted SI. If you are not researching Spain, it doesn't matter, we will all thank you for your vote and when you need our input, we will be there. Genealogy is all about helping each other out. Over 900 people visited but only over 100 actually voted. It is VERY IMPORTANT that we vote, we are always complaining about not being able to access the Mormons micro films at the local Family Center, but when we have a chance to be heard, we don't do it. Please, if you didn't vote, go back in and at the very end there is a rectangle (the last one) that says "Le Interesa?" click on "SI" Also try to pass it on. http://www.elpais.es/articulo.html?xref=20021004elpcat_26&type=Tes& anchor=elpcat&d_date=20021004 It might not change anything, but at least they will know there are many people all over the world interested in the subject. Muchas gracias, Lupe

The total is now over 24,500 and most all are proven Ancestors of descendants living today. I have also added several National Societies who have proven many of these Ancestors. Also for the first time a few respected Reference works that contain thousands of sources. This should be a big help for those of you trying to prove your lines. You will find the 1600s Ancestor Data Base at our new location URL. http://www.firstfamilies.org/db/ This is a free data base open to anyone who is interested in the 1600s and the many ancestors who were here at that time. While there be sure to read the INFORMATION & HELP page so you understand the codes that I have used and how to best use them. Happy hunting and most of all enjoy. Ryan Jackson Data Base Manager >>
