    3. In an earlier post, I thought information I received indicated that Linda J Bass married Jerald Addison, but it may have been a notice of a birth to Linda and Jerald Addison Brush. Sorry I misinterpreted a post. If anyone has knowledge of or knows how to find Jerald Addison Brush, and/or Linda J Bass Brush, who may have had a son in 1973 or married 9-10-1973 in Highlands Co Florida, please contact me. It is even possible that Jerald Addison was a sponsor, a witness or one who performed the marriage between Linda and B Brush. The information is not at all clear to me. Thank you. Linda

    1. [FLORIDA] Seeking Descendants of Those Buried in New Jersey Cemetery
    2. Greg And Winnette
    3. The following article is from Eastman's Online Genealogy Newsletter and is copyright 2002 by Richard W. Eastman. It is re-published here with the permission of the author. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Seeking Descendants of Those Buried in New Jersey Cemetery The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is seeking the descendants of those buried in a potters' field cemetery in Hudson County. The turnpike needs the land to build an interchange that will serve the Secaucus Transfer train station near Laurel Hill. The cemetery on those grounds was used by Hudson County's former poorhouse, mental hospital, and penitentiary. More than 3,500 bodies may be in the ground, located behind a prison annex and under an elevated section of highway. The authority will spend $3.89 million to locate and remove the remains, transport them to a new location, and reinter them. A memorial will also be placed at the new site. State Superior Court Judge Thomas Oliveri in Hudson County is overseeing the move. Several weeks ago, Oliveri ordered the turnpike to run legal ads searching for relatives of the deceased. Oliveri said in September that he wants to hear from relatives of the deceased. So far, only six have come forward, and only one has been confirmed as having a relative in the cemetery. A complete list of those buried is available on the turnpike's Web site at http://www.state.nj.us/turnpike/burial%20list.pdf. If you have ancestry in or around Hudson County, you should check this list for any possible relatives. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Hi...to all the list... Wanted to say this....apparently our ISP had inadvertantly put Rootsweb mailing lists on their spam service....so if we were bouncing or something, it was our ISP acting up and all. I emailed them and talked to them....and I received an email earlier saying they believed that they have solved the problem. I hope so....if anyone gets this email, please email me and tell me that someone on the list received it so I know you got this message. I would hate to have to reenlist all the lists that we are on because of our ISP. So please respond to this email so I know it is still working... Stephanie Grohol

    1. [FLORIDA] Seeking more info on John and Polly Smith Hodges: See message
    2. Joe & Stephanie Grohol
    3. Hi... I am seeking more information on the family of John(20 May 1749 in Bertie, NC) and Polly Smith Hodges(1755). John was the father, from what I have, of William Henry Hodges. I am hoping that someone will have information on William Henry's siblings. They are: Whitmell Hodges, Jesse Hodges, Sarah Hodges, Elizabeth Rhea Hodges and Mary Hodges. I did find Whitmell and Jesse in the census but it wasn't very telling on when they were born and all. So if anyone can help me in finding information such as their birth and death dates and whether they married or not and who too, if they did. I have joined some of the NC rootsweb mailing lists but haven't received the confirmation email saying that I have joined, at least of this email. Also..what do all think of the possibility that John that married Polly is the same one who married Tabitha Little? So anyone with any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for helping if anyone can. Stephanie Grohol
