Nicole-- My great-grandfather homesteaded many acres of land in Marion County--his name was John W. Barnes, b.~1830; married to Louisa ?. He owned land there in 1840, then moved to Coffee/Baldwin Cos., AL around 1858-1860, then came back to Marion Co. in 1861 before moving to Hillsborough Co. around 1870. They had 11 children that I have been able to document: William W., Nancy M., James Lawrence (my grandfather), George W., Armindes, M.
