Lucille Avery Gay is in findagrave.com Her husband was William Mathey Gay who died much later, Jan. 9, 1978 in Lee Co., FL. I do not have an obit on him. I was trying to find info on Lucille's son Edward, born when she was single back in Alabama in 1929.His father is unknown and he kept his Avery name. My grandparents raised him until he was 16 down in Clearwater and Holopaw. He was known by the family as kind of a loaner/drifter who worked as a chef. He just kind of disappeared. No one in the family ever knew what happened to him. They don't even know if he married. I was hoping the obits might give me an idea if he was still alive and where he lived.
