Raymond L. Cruit Sr., 70 Oklawaha - Raymond L. Cruit Sr., 70, of Oklawaha, died Wednesday Oct 12, 1988 at Marion Community Hospital after a short illness. A native of Washington, D.C. Mr. Cruit came to Marion County from Miami in 1982. He was a retired airline mechanic and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Cruit is survived by his wife Elanor Cruit, of Oklawaha, his daughter, June M. Burton of Pembrooke Pines, three sons, Raymond L. Cruit Jr. Oklawaha, David M. Cruit, Oklawaha and Thomas H. Cruit, Orlando, his sister, Charlotte N. Crow of Miami, two brothers, George L. Before May 1910, John and both children were dead of unknown causes. Frances remarried in Dec 1912 to B. A. Mallory. It is possible that John was a son of Jesse C. and Martha E. [Perry] Lovell of Ft. McCoy area, but this is unproven. Appreciate any help that anyone can provide in this search for John's ancestors.
