Hi Dawn, Noticed your earlier note - This list seems so quiet I often forget I am subscribed. My mother's family settled in Fort Myers in about 1913, having migrated from Missouri - relative newcomers - Standley (associated names - Carpenter, Hobson, Lummis, Hendry). I lived there for many years. Very little of my research has (to date) centered in Florida although I have some work to do there. Just curious - what families are other list members researching in Lee County? When and from where did they come to Lee County? How about you, Dawn?
