Hi, I was born in Lee County too many years ago. Glad some one stirred up the list. I've been away from Fort Myers for 37 years now and live in New Jersey. I can hardly bear to visit there now because so much has changed. I worked in downtown Fort Myers and it is gone as I knew it. But that has nothing to do with genealogy except that it was part of my life. I should have some second cousins there that I don't even know except that their name is Albritton, children of Robert"Pete" Albritton. Bobby as we called him has been gone for a long time, but he did have children. To narrow it down a bit, he was the son of G.L. (Uncle Gus) Albritton. He was also called Jess. Robert's mother was Louise Pritchett. They lived on Hoople Street. They had one other child, Hazel, who is also gone. I am working on the Albritton genealogy, have tons of information that I could share. I would like to hear from Robert"Pete" Albritton's descendants , would like tio be able to add them to the list of Albrittons and , maybe, if they are interested, I can help them with finding out about their ancestors.. I am also working on the Whidden genealogy, namely descendants of Wade Hampton Whidden, my great grandfather. My parents were Cecil Thomas Albritton and Jessie May Whidden. So anyone who may have a connection with Wade Hampton Whidden should get in touch with me. Also , I am looking for Leola Weeks Lowe--daughter of my great aunt, Agnes Whidden and Alfred Weeks. She was married to "Boots" Lowe and I believe they had a son named Johnny. Anyone with any information on Leola, please get in touch with me. Okay, the ball is rolling, somebody catch it. Thanks My email address is dorisfl6@bellatlantic.net. Doris Albritton Smith
