Phoebe, I don't know if this will help you any. The 1910 census does not show any Jones on Boca Grande (Gasparilla Island). It does show a Jones family living on Cayo Costa or Punta Blanco. John and Sarah Jones with their five children; Alex, Joseph, Willie, Minnie and Mary. The book "Boca Grande, A Series of Historical Essays" shows the proprietor of Gasparilla Fishery as Jones at one time. A quote from the book "the Gasparilla fisheries were under the successive proprietorships of: Jones, Vincent, McCrary, Grigsby,Vickors, Dixon, and finally, the Gaults, who are the present proprietors." Also, the 1910 census does not show a seamstress, but does show one dressmaker. Bertie Sarner, 18 years old. There is no mention of a Dooley family. I doubt this is any help, but is all I have.
