    1. for Redith Lowe
    2. Hi, Redith, I don't know what is going on, but three times tonight my message to you has been thrown back as no such address. I've been trying to send Wade Hampton Whidden's database. I know you're not supposed to send attachments to the list so I've been sending it to your email address which I got through on before. So I guess I will have to try again tomorrow. I've also got the Weeks database ready going back to Levi Weeks who would be a grgrgrgrandfather. Will try again. Doris

    3. Hi Dawn, Noticed your earlier note - This list seems so quiet I often forget I am subscribed. My mother's family settled in Fort Myers in about 1913, having migrated from Missouri - relative newcomers - Standley (associated names - Carpenter, Hobson, Lummis, Hendry). I lived there for many years. Very little of my research has (to date) centered in Florida although I have some work to do there. Just curious - what families are other list members researching in Lee County? When and from where did they come to Lee County? How about you, Dawn? 1. Descendants of Robert Albritton
    2. Hi, I was born in Lee County too many years ago. Glad some one stirred up the list. I've been away from Fort Myers for 37 years now and live in New Jersey. I can hardly bear to visit there now because so much has changed. I worked in downtown Fort Myers and it is gone as I knew it. But that has nothing to do with genealogy except that it was part of my life. I should have some second cousins there that I don't even know except that their name is Albritton, children of Robert"Pete" Albritton. Bobby as we called him has been gone for a long time, but he did have children. To narrow it down a bit, he was the son of G.L. (Uncle Gus) Albritton. He was also called Jess. Robert's mother was Louise Pritchett. They lived on Hoople Street. They had one other child, Hazel, who is also gone. I am working on the Albritton genealogy, have tons of information that I could share. I would like to hear from Robert"Pete" Albritton's descendants , would like tio be able to add them to the list of Albrittons and , maybe, if they are interested, I can help them with finding out about their ancestors.. I am also working on the Whidden genealogy, namely descendants of Wade Hampton Whidden, my great grandfather. My parents were Cecil Thomas Albritton and Jessie May Whidden. So anyone who may have a connection with Wade Hampton Whidden should get in touch with me. Also , I am looking for Leola Weeks Lowe--daughter of my great aunt, Agnes Whidden and Alfred Weeks. She was married to "Boots" Lowe and I believe they had a son named Johnny. Anyone with any information on Leola, please get in touch with me. Okay, the ball is rolling, somebody catch it. Thanks My email address is dorisfl6@bellatlantic.net. Doris Albritton Smith

    1. Danish looking for Fones obituary
    2. Anne Lise Kirk Jensen
    3. Hi, I am new to this list, writing you from Denmark. In order to find the descendants of Betty and Frank H. Fones (whose last residence was in Florida) I kindly ask someone out there to do a couple of obituary look-ups for me. If this is the wrong place to do so, please advise me whereelse to do so. The two obituaries that I am looking for are: Betty Fones - whose real name was Gunhild Fones - was born in Denmark on 20 September 1909, and passed away on 27 December 1992 - last residence 33912 Fort Myers, Florida (SSN 332-09-8947). Frank H. Fones - born on 29 March 1904, and passed away in April 1987, last residence 33928 Bonita Springs, Lee, Florida (SSN 332-09-8677). I will be grateful for any help - and can in return offer look-ups in parts of Denmark. Thank you for reading my mail. Anne Lise Kirk Jensen, Randers, Denmark.
