    1. [Fwd: [FLLee] Ship Carlew from Fort Myers]
    2. Richard White
    3. Not I... But I suggest the possibility that the ship's name might have been Curlew instead of Carlew.. RW Hello List, I've just joined and would like to ask a question about the Fort Myers area. In 1913 one of my ancestors wrote that he and his family arrived at the Koreshan Unity Colony in Estero from Fort Myers on the ship Carlew. Does anyone have any knowledge of this ship? I've read quite a bit about the colony, but would also be interested in corresponding with anyone who also has ancestors who lived there. Thanks for your help. Jim Schoedler Pasadena, CA

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gZ.2ADI/276 Message Board Post: I am looking for information for my Aunt who is the only surviving triplet Born at Lee Memorial Hospital in Aug 1948. My grandparents made the subject taboo and all we have to go on is a birth certificate indicating that my aunt was the first born. My grandparents died about 10 years ago and My aunt and I are starting the search for her sisters gravesites. My dad says he always heard that one baby lived for 2 days and the other lived for 3 weeks. He also said that since money was a little tight that maybe the baptist church helped out with the graves. We are just trying to find out their names so they seem a little more real. My aunt was supposed to be named penelope but wasn't and maybe that is the name of one of the girls. Their last name was Lynn. If anyone has any information I would be so greatful for the help.

I have her parents and both sets of grandparents. I also have her siblings. I have Anna Jean Padilla born between July 1921 and November 1927. She was still living as Anna Jean May December 27, 1992. I know that Ralph died in September 1981 and I was thinking she may have remarried, but in 1992 her last name was still May. It's possible that she is still living. I don't have anything about their children. When I get to Fort Myers, I plan on looking up Ralph's obit to at least see what children are listed. Anna Jean's father is Torivio "Beevo" Joseph Padilla, born 18 July 1880 on Cayo Costa, died 17 March 1948 in Ft. Myers. Her mother is Anna Bell Gomes, born 15 January 1890 in Lee County, died 25 April 1965 in Ft. Myers. If you would like the rest of what I have, let me know and I will email you. Brenda L. 2. Richard White
    3. Gwynne Institute was on the corner across from the First Baptist Church. There were deed restrictions on the land donated to build Gwynne Institute that would cause it to revert to the donor's heirs if it was ever used for anything but educational purposes. In the mid to late 1960s I believe that it was used for storage by the School Board. After that I left town and don't know...
