I am researching the Higginbotham Surname. I believe it starts in England, then to Barbados, then to VA and then Georgia and to Florida. I am looking for information for the names in Florida. My grandfather was Clarence Higginbotham married first to Ruby Hagan and then to Lora Chesire. Clarence's father was William Malachi (DOC) Higginbotham and he may have been married 4 times. William was born in 1860 and died in 1914 in Florida The wives Maiden names were Sikes,Higginbotham,Thompson and Parker. The 1910 census shows William married to Bith or Bice Thompson,but we have not been able to find the others. We are looking for their birth, marriage and death dates and where they are buried. I have copy of Clarence's death certificate but mother is listed as unknown The State of Florida shows no record for William. We are trying to find out who my grandfathers mother was. Any suggestions? I am hoping someone will read this and have this on their family tree and be willing to share. Margie
