    2. Dear all........ Ok, this might not be directly related to Jackson/Washington Counties and if you want me to stay on the subject of the above, just let me know. Anyway, on another genealogy discussion list someone mentioned making a backup of your data. I'm not sure about everyone, but I have amassed enough papers and documents and copies of wills, pensions, marriages, death certificates, etc., to completely wallpaper my house - inside and out. To collect such an array I've travelled the state of Florida and some in Alabama (ok, so I am not a world-traveller lately.) To the point..... if I had to replace all of my documentation I'd be up a smelly creek without a paddle. So, I have a backup of all my documentation (census, wills, etc.). One person in my mother's family has a copy of everything I have that pertains to that side of my family and I have done the same on my Dad's lines too. I have noticed when giving them their "gifts" of these copies, they usually pick out something I overlooked which is just as exciting for me as finding the document in the first place. Hope that helps someone. Please feel free to share your ideas too. Cindy :::will be glad when hurricane season ends::::
