Betty, I have a copy of a little booklet called "Historice Sidewalk Tour Marianna, Greenwood" by the Jackson Co. Heritage Association. Not sure this is the same house, but it mentions on p. 9 the Marianna Woman's Clubhouse. "The old 'Messer Home' as it was known for 59 years was built in 1864 by Joseph T. Russ. In 1881 J. T. Russ and his wife, Mary, sold the house to his daughter, Luella Burke. In 1884 James Burke and Luella Russ Burke sold the house to Mary J. West, daughter of James and Harriett Hearn of Greenwood." It goes on a bit more, but that's all about Russ. Cynthia Dean
